Magic Johnson spoke to 'No More Down Low TV' about the need for the African-American and Latino communities to bring down the number of people being infected with HIV and AIDS. Bossip reports that almost half of the people living in the United States with HIV and AIDS are African American and that contrary to popular belief most of them are heterosexuals.

National Black AIDS Awareness Day is February 7, 2012. Out of the 1.1 million people living with HIV in the U.S., 500,000 are African Americans. It's estimated that at some point in our lifetime, 1 in 16 black men will be diagnosed as HIV positive and 1 in 32 women will contract HIV.
